cold temperature upregulates the ADS2 expression. Level of the ADS2 transcript is transiently increased more than 3fold within 8 h after transfer to 10°C, and gradually decreased afterward. After 2 weeks of the cold treatment, the level of the ADS2 transcript returns to approximately the same level as that of plants grown at 22°C. The change in temperature, but not the absolute temperature, is the trigger for the enhancement of the expression
