Expression

Organism Comment Expression
Ocimum basilicum eugenol synthase (gene egs1) is induced by cold stress, temperatures 10°C for 48 h and 4°C for 12, 24 and 48 h increase the expression level of EGS1. In plants exposed to 10°C for 48 h, the contents of methyleugenol and methylchavicol are positively associated with the expression levels of EGS1 and eugenol O-methyl transferase (EOMT). A positive correlation is also found between cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) expression and eugenol, methyleugenol, and methylchavicol contents under 4°C for 12 h up
